DISCUSSIONS

Town Meeting Article to obtain sidewalk engineering fees requiring a motion and a vote; and Town Meeting Article to move forward for the sidewalk revolving account requiring a motion and a vote.

Chairman Ellis indicated that he met with the Finance Committee to see what might be available for a sidewalk fund.  Finance Committee questioned the dollar  amount of $12,000 rather than $7,000.  Chairman Ellis responded that the $12,000 was for more engineering work that would be needed; recording elevations for all the driveways to be connected if warranted.
In order for grant money to be made available, the project would have to be “Shovel Ready.”
Previous plans prepared sometime between 2002 and 2005 covered from the intersection of Rt.58 to High Street and were paid for by the Town thru the Planning Board.  The  Selectmen and the Planning Board will make the determination as to where the funds would go from a revolving account.
Motion made to go forward with the potential Town meeting article pending the decision of the Board of Selectmen to obtain sidewalk engineering fees in the sum of $12,750:  Joseph Weeks
Second:  Joseph Gamache

Motion to move forward the article pending the decision of the Board of Selectmen for the sidewalk revolving account:  Joseph Weeks
